The Patient Language Services Specialist must be able to thrive in a moderately paced, urgent need, complex, health care environment. Acts a liaison between English and non English speaking and/or deaf or hard of hearing patients, families, medical staff, administration, and hospital departments and services. Coordinates day to day language access operations including organizing of spoken language interpreter services and schedules, and deaf interpreter services. Supports hospital in strengthening compliance with national Culture and Language Access Standards (CLAS) activities. Provides support and serves as a resource for staff and physicians related to appropriate use and documentation of interpreter utilization and documentation, identify trends, and track patient and staff needs. Has strong ablility to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to initiate, manage, and bring projects to conclusion. Bachelor's degree in a Behavioral Science from an appropriately accredited institution. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. Minimum two years experience working in a hospital setting.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
